kylesoft

I'm Kyle. I make small software I wanted to exist, usually because something annoyed me until I fixed it. It runs on computers you already own. No accounts, and nothing phoning home.

one guy, a shelf of computers, way too many side projects

0accounts to make
0trackers, cookies or telemetry
1SHA-256 next to every download
$0so far, for all of it

ready to use

Each one has its own site with downloads, checksums and an honest list of what isn't done.

on the bench

Half-built, being rebuilt, or not ready for other people yet. They'll get links when they are.

house rules

Same for everything with my name on it.

  1. No account needed. You downloaded it, so it's yours.
  2. No telemetry, analytics or cookies. This page doesn't load anything from anyone else, either.
  3. A SHA-256 next to every download, so you can check you got what I built.
  4. If there's a server, you can run your own.
  5. I'll tell you what's broken before your computer does. Most of this isn't code-signed yet, and each site says so.

the workshop

Where it all gets built and tested. The server room is a shelf.

the big pc
Windows, an RTX 4090 and 96 GB of RAM. Runs the local models and does the heavy lifting.
the linux box
A pile of Incus VMs. One has no route back to the host, on purpose.
the mac
An M4, mostly so I can build Mac and iPhone apps.
tailscale
Ties it together, so nothing's open to the internet that doesn't need to be.
